REMAS Global Monitoring (RGM) provides outside the box thinking with regard to remote monitoring of CCTV and alarm systems. RGM protects all manner of businesses, their assets and their staff by monitoring images from CCTV cameras installed anywhere in the UK, responding to alarm activations and liaising with the Police or private response services to provide security, remotely, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The monitoring industry has been built around the concept that a protected premises closes at 18:00 and opens the following morning at 07:00 and therefore any activity within these times is an intruder. Reality, however, is generally somewhat different and this is where RGM come in to their own.
RGM was born out of a need to provide monitoring to a broad spectrum of clients who had remote sites that required not only night time coverage, but in some cases 24 hours a day coverage. We originally tried to outsource this to the usual suspects in the industry but one way or another we were let down as they simply were unable to operate outside the norm.
RGM is able to operate to the customer's unique demands for their site. If a site is normally unmanned but on a Tuesday there is a delivery, this information will form part of the unique site instructions document which will "pop" up on a screen adjacent to the video screen when a site transmits to RGM. The Operator simply follows the customer's instructions.
RGM also manage the inevitable false alarms and gives detailed reports to the the customer to ensure they are prevented in the future. If a camera becomes troublesome, or exceeds a certain amount of false alarms in a certain time period, the camera will be isolated and the customer informed. It is in the best interests of ALL RGM customer that the Operators are not fully occupied with false alarms as this would risk a genuine alarm escalation being delayed.
RGM works to strict codes of practice such as BS5979 and BS8418 and also enjoys the service industry's highest accolade, Achieving Competitive Excellence Gold (ACE) accreditation. Having a very broad spectrum of clients provides RGM with a huge experience base to call upon which is often extremely useful when unusual things happen.
